I found it was too slow. I hated how boring it was, as well. Personally, I think that Stephen's voice fits Wheatley perfectly.

Have you ever seen "Wheatley is the best at flirting"? It's pretty hilarious. Make sure to have headphones on though because its not entirely appropriate.

What's even more, you can actually imagine Wheatley attempting that, assuming he ever got the urge to um, "mate" with a human female... and considering his prejudice against humans it'd have to be a pretty special lady.

Heh. Don't be ashamed. Though they probably would have issues to work through, assuming this isn't some AU where all that nasty stuff didn't happen.
I still like Wheatley best as a core, though.

Personally, I like the idea of there being issues. When it comes to ideas, my brain likes to screw up the lives of whoever is in my little story. For example, I'd probably have Wheatley being guilt-ridden and Chell still being sort of afraid and angry at him.

The best fics with the two of them, Ive found, have them work through it.
To be honest, I wish there were more core Wheatley fics. The humanizing thing seems to be done quite a lot these days, maybe a little too much.

I was actually planning on writing a fic where he somehow gets back and she keeps him, while he's a core. Of course, since I seem unable to not turn things into a tragedy, I might kill Chell off somehow. c:

Well just about anything can be better that It's My Life! (a bizarre trollfic in which "Marrissa Roberts," who's apparently Chell's sister, somehow gets pregnant with "Wheetly"'s child. While he's still a core. Bad mental images ensued. It was pretty fun to read though.)
