Kind of. The problem is I just have major writer's block, and I've had to try re-writing this SO many times. :S

Have you tried listening to music? I like to try to find a story, character, or mood in a song as a prompt. It's been helpful in the past.

Has anyone else mucked around in Portal 2 as third-person? Some parts of it come out very strange. At one point you become a pair of disembodied arms. In others you're kind of trapped in this gray ... box ... room thingy until the scene plays out.

PC version. Enable developer console, then in-game pull it up, go in sv_cheats 1 and then thirdperson or thirdpersonshoulder (latter usually gets better results). It'll disable achievements though. Actually the parts with the gray box, I figured out, are because "you" are actually just a floating camera. In the hotel room destruction scene because all the broken pieces were flying around and they had to calculate that and also the physics could possibly kill you. In the scene where you're the disembodied arms I suspect its because your head/torso would get in the way in first-person. (still, it doesn't explain a mysterious pair of arms floating up in front of you a little later .... here's a link, spoiler alert.) Granted the game really is lousy to play in third-person. Portal placement much harder. But it's fun at times. Also everything is much bigger than it looks in first-person though it might be a perception trick.

really? you'd think it would be smaller. and..or dear lord. I need to stop looking at things I know are going to creep the clart out of me.(just watched Bacterial COntamination..*shivers*) you said portal placment is harder, too? I'll try to beat it in first person, then, then I'll try it in third.

you mentioned disembodied arms, but I think you forgot to mention that she looks like she only has one leg, XD and honestly, I actually do prefer first person games, especially shooters, unless they're platform games.
