Her right leg dragging behind her, a girl shuffled into the medical bay to find a knee brace. After it had just given out in one of the testchambers -- not an uncommon occurrence for her -- she had noticed the facility seemed ... abandoned and escaped through one of those mysterious graffiti-laden cubbyholes. It had been a tight squeeze but she had made it through to the catwalks beyond.

Meanwhile, in another part of the facility...

A brunette hummed quietly as she finished her seventh test. She looked to the empty monitor, hoping for a sign from the one who controlled the facility. It remained blank and the room was as silent as before. She sighed and continued to the next test, aching for someone, anyone, to say something, to show themselves.

A.M. (that's me) dug through several cabinets, finally finding what she was looking for. The brace fit over her knee and she tightened the elastic, before limping off to find something to eat.

Neko walked through the facility searching for some sign of life because she hasn´t seen any human in what seemed like ages. As she had gone farther she heard something and began to run towards it. "Hello?Anybody there?"

A.M., hearing somebody nearby, turned around but didn't say anything.

As nobody answered she stopped running and tried to see if someone is nearby.
Neko called out again if somebody is there.

"Uhm ... uh ... h-h-h-hell-o?" The voice was hard to understand.

As she heard something again Neko went to where she thought it came from.

There was a girl standing there. Or maybe a woman. It was hard to tell her age. She had short, dark hair. At a distance, she looked more than five and a half feet, but up close it was evident she was actually quite shorter. The best word to describe her was thick-boned; her hands and feet were huge compared to her height. Although she was heavier than an average person of her height, she still managed to look gaunt from lack of food other than raw potatoes.

"H ... h-hello?" she said, looking down as the knee brace slipped. She tried to bend over to tighten it again but didn't have much luck.

In a test chamber...

The brunette finished a few more tests before standing in front of the monitor. No compliments for finishing the tests, no insults or critiques on how to finish faster, no signs of Him.
She was alone.
She rushed out of the chamber to find a way out, settling on a broken panel. She climbed out, leaving her portal gun behind and set off to find someone.

In her attempt to tighten the loose knee brace, A.M. soon found herself sprawled on the floor. Awkwardly, but oddly silent, she shuffled herself around, attempting to balance herself enough to get up without putting any weight on her knee. But her foot slipped and she crashed to the floor again, almost cursing.

The girl continued through the corridor, singing quietly. She froze as she heard the sound of something - or someone - falling in the medical bay.
"Hmm?" She began to head towards it, humming a suspenseful song as she approached the door quietly.

Soon came a crashing noise as A.M. knocked over a small cabinet in another attempt to stand.

She jumped back, startled from the noise. It could've been several things:
A frankenturret that found its way in there,
another human
or a dreadful bird.
The girl stared at the door in silence for a few moments before taking a deep breath and rushing in with a battle cry. Arms flailing about, she was truly a terrifying spectacle.
Before she tripped over a bottle from the cabinet.
She face planted on the cold tile and lay there.
"...Ow..."

Neko watched the woman as she tried to get up but as she fell Neko came to her and held a hand towards her "Can I help you?"
