Savannah smiled at the core with child-like amusement as she sat next to him on the operating table, her legs crossed. "You're adorable, little core. I mean, I only really knew one core, who was all big and scary and in charge, but you're just a cute little core." Her amusement seemed to be endless.

A.M. just gave a silent laugh, which was quickly dampened by the fear of GLaDOS.

Savannah's looked towards the door, her expression a bit troubled.
"I wonder if anyone's out there..."
"Well, I didn't encounter anyone..." The core said. "I was just zipping around, trying to remember where I was, and then I heard singing."
She hopped up to her feet, taking the core with her.
"We'll find something, little core."

A.M. nodded. "I ... I think, n-nobody's gonna like this ... b-but maybe She knows who this core is ..." She swallowed and looked down at the floor. "T-there's a way to Her testing tracks t-t-through old Aperture."

The core's optic shrank to a green-white dot. "WHAT?"
"It could work." Savannah shrugged.
"No!"
She frowned at the core. "Why not?"
"She'll kill me! You too, I bet!" He seemed very panicked, which wasn't surprising.
She grinned. "I bet She's lonely. Maybe we can make a deal."

"S-s-she hates me," A.M. said somberly. "Told me over and over I was a use-llless test subject 'cause I'm 'thritic in the knee and sllllow to figure things out. I never died though even when she tried to kill me so I musta done something right."

Savannah smiled as she usually did. "I never met Her."
"Lucky..." The green core mumbled.
"I only ever tested for Him. He usually said that I was doing well."
"I still don't know who He is..."
"Neither do I!" She said, still cheerful.

A.M. swallowed. "You don't want to test for Her. S-she once threw me in a test that were meant for two people t-to solve and then mocked me when I s-solved it anyway but slower. O-on the other hand, it's better than ..." she trailed off, swallowing, realizing she was delving more into her personal history than she was comfortable with.

Her smile faded as she looked over to A.M.
"Touchy subject, I assume." She said, her usual cheery tone faded. "I don't remember anything about my past. I just remember the basics, and that's a miracle, really. I can tell that something bad happened a while ago, though." She looked back down to the core, her solemn expression quickly turning to that of joy. "Seriously, you are adorable, little core."

The core lifted up his lower shutter in a sort of smile.

She smiled back at it, her previous sentences completely forgotten.

A.M. lifted herself to her feet.

"S-so if we're going through o-old Aperture we all need long-fall-boots and we should take food too you should get a portal gun too. An extra pair of portals help. A-a-a-and as for you..." She looked down at the core. "I-I think all personality cores are compatible with the Atlas robot-frame-things so you can walk yourself." She was surprisingly talkative about the plans for getting to GLaDOS' testing tracks.

Savannah nodded. "I left my portal gun in test chamber number... Fourteen, I think." She grinned. "I remember the way back."

A.M. nodded. "I-I-I just need to rest my knee."
