She heard something else break. The green core chuckled nervously. "Wasn't me!" he said, looking at an old vase that had been knocked off a filing cabinet.

The catwalk suddenly dropped away in front of her. She wondered how to get to the other side -- then noticed the rail. She wondered if it was sturdy enough to hold the weight of an dord.
