Zombie AU, I suppose

(Since this is where we put the AU, I suppose this would be an okay place to put the thread...)

A young woman hid in her boarded-up home, watching the outside world through what little there was visible of a window.
She glanced up to see her close friend, a fairly tall, sturdy woman- the girl herself was the exact opposite, being short and thin -holding two large bags.
"What...?" the freckled girl blinked a few times.
"Ah'm gonna take you somewhere safer. They're gonna break in'f we stay here, Pan... Ah don't wanna go out there, but we have to." the woman said, her accent somewhat comforting her.
Pan nodded and got to her feet, a small shiver running through her at the thought of having to run from the creatures outside.
"Are we... Do you think we'll make it very far?"
"Ah'm sure of it..." she handed her one of the bags and a pistol. "Don't worry 'bout it, just stay close and don't let any of 'em get near ya, ya hear?"
Pan nodded again.

After her friend grabbed herself a hunting rifle, she searched for the best way out. Soon, they were running down an alleyway, their eyes darting around, searching for any movement.

(Are we going with L4D, or normal zombies?)

The wonderful thing about being an army-trained medic, Cordelia reflected, twirling her knife. is all the extra things you learn on the base. She glanced back at the others, grinning. "What've we got folks?"

"Couple weeks' worth of canned goods," Timothy commented, holding up a backpack.

"Medical supplies," Lily added, obviously still sour at being bumped down to second-in-command. "I still think we should stay here, though."

"Aww, but that's no fun~!" The blue-haired young woman laughed, picking up another blade off the shelf, and sliding the sheath into her belt. "Besides, we should try to find civilization again, right? This place is death-central!"

There were a few mumbled agreements.

(Uh... Uh... Um... Uh... Regular?)

The two women continued to walk before they heard a moan. Pan yelped and hid behind Athena, her eyes darting around.
The taller woman was already gripping onto her gun, glancing around.

(I'm just trying to clarify...if you don't want to use Specials, we can just stick to normal zombies... Can they run, or do they stick to a shuffle? Some zombie stories have them move very fast when they know what they're attacking.)

(I suppose we can have them run like a normal human, but only if they haven't been zombies for very long, therefore being less decayed...)

(Makes sense...okay, last question: what kills them? o you have to destroy the brain, or will any vital organ do?)

(Brain, since the other organs probably aren't as vital anymore. Also, they can't feel pain and are attracted to loud noises/bright lights.)

There was another moan, followed by a slow shuffling off to their right.

Athena spun in towards the sound, Pan cowering behind her, gripping onto her own gun.

(See, I plan to make this less of an action thing- though there will be plenty of that -and more of something in which we find out how people would live in a world like this.)
