The doctor looked up from her book and smiled. "That's just Blue, locking herself up with her books for the next few hours." She shook her head. "Between you and me, I think her door is a little big for its frame; if she doesn't slam it, it doesn't seem to stay closed." It was hard to tell if she was joking or not.

She nodded.

The girl continued to look around nervously, as though expecting the walls of the room to come out and bite her.
Apollo grinned and then left the restaurant.

She placed the needed money in the cash register, then shoved the tip into her pocket. She hurried off to take another order.

She put her book down and leaned forwards, once again resisting the uge to get up and give the girl a hug. "Hush, it's okay...Even if she was in a bad mood, by the time she gets out, she'll just be tired." Somewhere over their heads, Cordelia started playing some pop-dance song far too loudly. Lillian sighed. "I can make you something to eat or drink, if you want. I need to tell her to turn that down, anyway."

She sighed and got to her feet. "Alright, then...I'll be right back."

She looked up at the window, then at the door.
Then opened it and ran out into the night.

When Lily returned, she stared at the empty room in dismay. "Well, I did tell her she only had to stay until breakfast..." she murmurred. "Still..." She went to the front door and turned the light on, hoping A.M. would return once she recovered a bit. I can't go after her...she doesn't know me, she's scared, and I certainly don't have the right to hold her here...poor girl; I hope she's alright...

Although it wasn't raining that night, it was still cold and damp, the streets still wet from the rain the last few nights. Not good for a girl wearing what she was wearing, and definitely not in her bare feet.
She kept running.

Pendleton was making his way around the park to his house; it wasn't the shortest route (if anything, it was one of the longest) but it was the prettiest, and it almost managed to take his mind off the grading he'd have to do when he got there. The professor shifted his armful of folders with a sigh. Yep...Almost.

Out of breath, A.M. collapsed on a bench, coughing weakly and a stitch in her side.

He came around the corner, saw her, and froze. After a moment, realizing he was staring, the man prompted himself to keep walking. "Deja vu..." he muttered under his breath.

The dampness of the rain-slick bench soaked through the girl's pants, making her teeth chatter. She didn't seem to notice him.

He took off his coat again, hanging it casually off his elbow in the hopes she woudn't realize it hadn't been there to begin with, somehow managing to do it without dropping the files. He move closer, stopping a few feet away from the bench, and cleard his throat. "I wouldn't sit there, if I were you; it has to be soaking wet."
