(Sorry...)
"Ah-ah-ah!" A small blond rocket shot over, righting the equipment, and shutting down the alarms. Space turned to glare at them. "Space-stuff is expensive and hard to get. Be careful around space-stuff."
Wheatley chuckled, a little nervously. "No harm done, though, right?"

"What did I do?!" A.M. was shaking, splayed back against the wall.

"Space-screens. Watching space." He pointed to the curved wall. "Space-controls, controlling space-screens." The finger moved to indicate the panel, set just below the screens. "Space-stuff, for recording space, watching space, and measuring space." His whole arm and hand gestured to the equipment around her, and then the finger moved to point almost directly behind her, to a small table that had gone unnoticed among the other, far more interesting gadgets. "Coffee, for Space, and space-fridge, with lunch. Not your lunch; my lunch."
"No harm done, though." She winked, still grinning. "As I have no plans on telling. Have a nice day, alright?"

A.M. didn't say a word, just stared.
Apollo blushed again.

She nodded.

Wheatley reached out to pat Space's shoulder. "You alright, little buddy?"
"No; space-nerves, new shipment, late. Jumpy. Hyper. Out of meds, need more today; can't forget again!" The blond shook his head, then smiled at A.M. "Sorry if Space was mean; he didn't mean it. He's nice most of the time, really."

Apollo then got back to work.
"Am I .... in trouble?" A.M. was visibly nervous. "The alarms went off."

He shook his head. "Alarms tell Space when things change, when they move in ways that are unusual; weird. Just in case something big happens-Whoosh!-Space doesn't want to miss it."
"There, you see? Everything's just fine!"

"I hope so."

"Yes, yes, fine." The boy shook his head, clearly distracted. "Star exploding, supernova. Space-screen twelve. Gotta watch. 'Scuse me." He began to pick his way back across the space, before hesitating and turning back. "Wanna see?"

"Is the explosion going to hurt us?!"

"No, silly space-lady; star is faaaar away, and long ago. 400 light years. 2,346,278,400,000,000 miles." He grinned. "Star stopped exploding before Space was born. Before space-lady was born. It's pretty, though; wanna see?"

"Well if you're sure we're not gonna blow up..."

"Nope!" Space shrugged, and began walking away again. "Over here, c'mon." Wheatley followed the boy, glancing back every few seconds to make sure he hadn't lost her.

A.M. followed, obviously nervous about being blown up or running into Ms. Gladys again.
