A personality core is seen attatched to a management rail, looking down at them. His eye was green in torquoise, and he blinked once he got a response. "Oh! Great! Your alive! Uh... how many of you are down there? Just one? Or is there more of you?"
I scratched my head, still holding onto the defective turret with one hand. Who knows? Maybe it could come in handy some day. "Theres three of us!" I called back, "hey, can you help us get out?"
The core paused, then he replied, "Well, the rail is broken as you can see, but one end leads to an elevator." He motioned to where we were supposed to head to. "Unfortunately the lift has been deactivated since Wheatley took charge..." He moved so that he was directly ubove the team. "Unfortunately... there are no pannels where you can shoot portals here... Sorry I'm not much help."
I shook my head, still thinking. "Well, is there any way to get up there?" The orb shook itself, as if to shake its... head... "If only there was an access panel I could plug into... I could see if I could pull up any white panels and activate the lift..."

The core sighed, looking around. "Do you think I don't know that? Here..." it paused, as of it was judging its move. "Tell you what. I'll meet you in the room with the elevator. I think I spotted an access panel to the elevator there, so I'll activate it when your ready." And with that, the core scooted along on the management rail, until he disappeared into the darkness of the elevator room.
I tilted my head. "Well, that was unexpected... Hmm..." The turret started clicking, and suddenly a lazer shot out from its eye, as if pointing to something behind me. Soon after, the lazer went out, and its light flickered. I turned, and a smiled in delight. Behind me was some ladder attached to the wall that lead to the rails above. It connected to the wrong side, but that was a start. I then frowned. The ladder did not go all the way to the bottom, and I don't think anyone could jump to it. I walked to it, and looked up. "Well this stinks," I murmured.
"Put me down," the turret hummed. I looked at it awkwardly, wondering why. "Please put me down," it said politely and soothingly. I paused, and then set it down underneath the ladder. It started to click, and its laser once again shot out and scanned the room, where piles of dead turrets lay. It seemed to stop at every little pile of turrets, as if it was pointing to them. It was then that I figured it out what it was saying.
"Thanks little guy," I smiled, "I suppose I should give you a name, since your 'different' from the others." It looked at me, and hummed happily. "How about... Skipper? Since you seem to be so chirpy about this kinda stuff." It hummed another tune again, as if it was approving my choice. I laughed, "Great!"
"Guys," I turned to them, "looks like we have some work to do."

"Skipper here gave me an idea. Theres gotta be a thousand turrets and other rubish down here. I'm thinking if we can stack them up, we can reach the ladder. From there we can get to the rail, and use the wires and pipes above that to get to the others side." I picked up Skipper, and then set him down on a large grey box. "Don't stack that one up," I pointed to Skipper, "having a turret on our side might come in handy."
I looked around the room, then started off towards the first pile of "trash." I picked up as much stuff as I could carry, then dropped it all under the ladder. "This might take a while, but its worth a try..."

Having to observe the entire situation, I had stayed quiet to contemplate. "Skipper", the newly named "different" turret had an excellent idea. "Well, we best get started and not keep that core waiting...I'm still wondering what type of core he is...I still remember seeing one with a really white white white white eye." I shook that thought away and pointed to some abandoned crates in the far end. "We could start with those for stability?"

I nodded, and started moving the crates into their stable position. We had enough crates to get a fair amount of distance to the actual ladder, so that was good. "Maybe a few turrets and chairs and we're good." I smiled happily.
Once we were done with stacking, I grabbed Skipper and held on tightly to it. I went up the ladder last, since I knew that I'd hold them back if i was in the front thanks to the weight I was carrying. It took some time, but I finally reached the rail where the others were waiting.
"Right," I sighed, staring at the gap on the rail and the open door where the core was waiting. "Now what?" I looked up above the ladder, and then an idea hit me. "Hope you guys were in gymnastics. Hold this." I handed Skipper to Shadow, who was nearest to me, jump off the edge of the rail, and grabbed onto a hanging wire. From there, I was able to jump to another wire, and finally jumped to the others side. "Throw Skipper over and I'll catch him!" I called, my hands extended.

Skipper clicks in a high pitched manner as it is thrown across. It headed straight for me, and I was just barely able to catch it without it dropping. "Good," I sighed. "Now its your turn. Just jump from wire to wire. Swing back in for to gain a bit of momentume then get to the next wire as fast as you can. And whatever you do, don't look down."
This was going smoothly. All that was left were for the others to cross and then we could get the heck outta here. The sooner the better.... this place was creepy and giving me a headache and lots of flashbacks that I couldn't catch.

I stood at the bottom, appalled by the height. If any of us actually lost our step, there is no portal surfaces to portal for. We could die.
Suddenly, there was a large clang in the background and moaning followed after. Feeling that I waited too long, I pounced for the 1st wire. Just then in the distance, something huge exploded from the ground, sending all the junk flying.

I covered my face when the explosion hit, totally surprised of this explosion. "Nonononononono!" screamed Skipper in its metalic voice. After it passed, I looked at my comrades, who were both safely on the right side of the rail.
"Oh my! I-is everyone alright?!" The core zipped out of the other room in panic of the explosions, and looked us over. "We're fine..." I said, my voice showing traces of surprise.
The core looked around suspiciously. "Theres no time to waste. We need to get out right now. But the only problem is.." he paused, "I have to eject off this management rail first... I uh... I'm not too fond of falling..." His turquoise eye flickered nervously. "Don't worry, we'll catch you." I nodded. "A-Alright then..." he said. I set Skipper down, and outstretched my hand.
The core sighed, "One... two... three- CATCH MEEE!" He ejected from the rail, and fell down towards us. "I got it I got it!" My hands outstretched, I really hoped I could catch him.
