Pan nodded. "Okay..." A bus pulled up. Athena got to her feet. "That's our bus. Maybe we'll see ya 'round."

"No, I'm fine! It's FINE!" She cringed against the far end of the bench, looking terrified.

"Oh, definitely," she laughed. "I have no plans to stay stuck in that house all day! Have a nice trip."
He looked a little hurt for a moment, then sighed, setting the jacket down on the end of the bench closer to him. "I'm sorry, this must look really awful to you; some strange man coming up and offering you his coat..." The man shook his head and checked his watch half-heartedly. "I need to go...I think I'll try things your way for a little while." He started off down the street, leaving the jacket where it was.

The girl on the bench recoiled from it, staring at it as though it was a rattlesnake or something. Then she got up and ran, leaving it behind.

Athena and Pan nodded before boarding the bus.

She smiled after them, before continuing down the path Pan had pointed out to her. East Park Avenue, as it turned out, was one of those streets that's really only populated during the school year; the houses were rented out by college students with nowhere else to go. Most of them had flowers, but the eighth one had a set of very memorable sunflowers out front, hanging heavy with seeds. Lily checked her map, rolled her eyes, and knocked on the door. "Coming~!"
Pendleton glanced over his shoulder and sighed. Well...maybe someone else will find it. I have plenty at home; it's not that important to me, anyway...right?

The girl just kept running and running until she was exhausted. At this point, fat droplets of rain were beginning to come down, soaking through everything, sending a chill through her.

Meanwhile, a girl ran through the streets, carrying a very important envelope under her arm. She was late. Very late. She checked her watch again, muttering a curse.

A man came out of a coffee shop, with a large cup of coffee.
(Guess who?)

She glanced up, noticing him a second too late to be able to swerve around him. "GYAAH-" They collided, the envelope and papers within flying to the ground, as well as the coffee. He toppled over and she fell, landing hard on the ground next to him.

"MY WORK!" she quickly got to her feet, grabbing her papers. "Oh crap crap crap- I- I'm so sorry, sir! I wasn't looking where I was going and I'm sorry I spilled your coffee..."

The door was opened by a tall girl, with bright blue eyes and hair. She grinned. "Lily~! How's my favorite shorty doing~?" "Fine. What did you do to your head?" "D'you like it~?" she laughed. "I figured, they already call me 'Blue,' so I might as well...I like it~!" "Aunt Rose-" "Is not here~! Lighten up, Short-stuff~!" "Whatever you say, Cordelia," she muttered, stepping into her new house for the first time.
Normally, the professor would've tried to find someway to make it up to the poor, scared girl on the bench, but he had a lecture he was supposed to be at...fifteen minutes ago! The man swore, earning himself some disapproving looks from those around him, and picked up the pace.
(Just pulling these two out for a little while...they've got their own problems for now.)

The man scrambled to help her pick them up only to land face-down in a puddle. He got to his feet, sputtering water.

She frowned. "Are- are you okay?" she glanced down at her clothes, brushing some of her brown hair out of her face. Her grey t-shirt and dark blue sweater were covered in coffee, along with her jeans. "Oh, great..."
