A slightly frantic knocking at the door interrupted Lillian's reading. Well, maybe "interrupted" is too strong a word; she was pretty much just waiting for something to distact her. The doctor jumped up out o her chair and rushed to the door. "I'm coming, I'm coming, I-" The door opened. "Oh my God, what happened?!"
