The bridge ended at the base of the line of metal barrels, each with a poorly-conditioned wooden lid on top. The few new alcoves revealed themselves to have either white ceilings with no other features visible, or larger, floor-based buttons.

"More buttons up here--it could be useful, Eighty Seven."

"Hang on-I'm comin' up!" Below Hazel, the medic took a small leap off the edge of the first alcove, landing on the lightbridge with a muffled thump! and several muttered curses. She massaged her ankles for a second, before straightening and jogging through the portal.
The robot looked around, puzzled. "Huh."

"Wonder what's in these metal barrels..." Hazel kicked one over, but it didn't open. Frustrated, she attempted to open it, but failed because of the large portal gun on her arm. Muttering mean words about it under her breath, she tried to remove it.

"Here." Eighty Seven braced her knee against the side of one of the upright barrels and wrenched the lid off. There was a sound like nails on a chalkboard as it let go, and a seeming explosion from inside.
The barrel was full of Repulsion Gel. Or perhaps it would be more acurrate to say that it had been full of Repulsion Gel, considering how much of the stuff was dripping off of the now soaked (and decidedly sullen) robot.

Hazel's childish side appeared once again as her face turned red and she tried as hard as she could to hold back laughter, but failed. "Eighty Seven!" she exclaimed, bursting out with joyous laughs, "You look ridiculous!!"

(hello? room for me here?)
there was a series of bangs that seemed to come from inside one of the barrels. "Hello? Little help?"

(Sounds good. Erm, Citrine, do you think you could wait to join with her? It'd make more sense then just popping out of a random barrel in the old facility...)

Eighty Seven blinked, her face flushing a considerably darker shade of blue beneath the gel, which showed as she desperately tried to wipe it off on her equaly-soaked sleeve. An awkward grimace tugged at her lips. "Shut up!"
Completely unnoticed, her cigarette rolled across the floor and disappeared into a crack between two panels.

Hazel tried to control herself, but was failing. Desperate for air, she would laugh, then attempt to take deep breaths, then continue laughing, until the deep breaths calmed her down and she silened herself. "I'm....I'm sorry, Eighty Seven. I'm pretty sure my hair is blue, too."

"Wonderful," the bot muttered, the irritated flick of her wrist ending a spray of the stuff across the wall. She ran her fingers through her hair, creating streaks in it. "Please tell me you didn't swallow any, and don't have any recent injuries; you do not want this stuff in your bloodstre'm."
Eighty Seven ran her hands down her arm, managing to get some of the gel off, though her uniform would clearly never be the same.
"Well, at least we know what we're s'posed to do with those blank ones." She gestured down to the mostly-empty alcove, with portal surfaces only on the ceiling.

(yeah, that's good. I actually had a reason, for her to be in a barrel, but whatever.)

"Eeeehhhhh, nope. Nothing in my mouth." Hazel muttered. "No recent injuries...i appear to be okie dokie."

(Just wondering when the next testchamber is. I'm not sure how close the end is and I don't want to appear at the wrong time. You can pm me if thats better.)
